One Particular Harbour 2009
On May 2, 2009, the Dubuque Phlockers celebrated our 3-year anniversary and raised $8,000 for the benefit of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Iowa!

The Dubuque Phlockers, in conjunction with volunteer's from Kohl's department store and also from Make-A-Wish gathered together to produce another "party with a purpose" to the delight of 160 parrotheads from Dubuque and the surrounding communities. Our day began with a pre-party at the hospitality suite of the Holiday Inn of Dubuque.

As the doors to our party at the Holiday Inn opened, our guests were treated to the tropical, acoustical styling of Dubuque's own Steve Cavanaugh who set the pace for all the fun our night had in store for us. Friends meeting friends... "It's a magic kind of medicine, that no doctor could prescribe."

The party continued as the Mississippi Band featuring Dubuque's own Pirate Over 50 took the stage and delivered their sound and musical talents to the conclusion of the party. A limbo contest (a perennial favorite) provided amusement as a number of parrotheads strutted their stuff!

Through the generous donations from local businesses and people listed below, a wide-selection of silent auction baskets were available for bidding by our guests. Additionally, raffles were offered and the Dubuque Phlockers would like to congratulate these raffle drawing winners:
