Meeting Minutes – December 18, 2006

Old Business

Discussed the fun time had by all at last Thursday’s Phlocking.

New Business

Discussed having a summer and winter venue for business meetings. Motion by Ladd, second by Bob to have Ron put together a Yahoo Group poll for the above matter. Motion passed 7-0
Discussed the Quad Cities Parrothead Party.
Discussion of “Paradise in Peosta” on January 19, 2007:
- Need table with our banner
- Thursday night set-up after 7:00pm
- Sign-up sheet needed for working this event. Motion by Ladd, second by Bob to have Ron make a sign-up sheet on Yahoo. Motion passed 7-0
- Decorations needed: palm tree, parrot, etc.
- Need our new banner for this event. The info for the new banner was sent to Adam.
- Discussed fundraising activities during this event.
- Discussed using freebie items vs cash for prizes.
- Discussed the blocking of rooms at the Americinn in Peosta for others clubs coming to this event.
- Discussion of the t-shirts and other items for this event:
  1. Some members have agreed to provide the funds for these items and will be reimbursed once items are sold.
  2. Chris, Ron, and Bob are appointed to the t-shirt committee. They will finalize the t-shirts.
  3. Discussed having a 4 color front pocket logo and a large logo on the back of the t-shirts.
  4. Motion by Ladd, second by Ron to get light blue and sand colored shirts to sell. Motion passed 7-0
  5. Motion by Bob, second by Ladd to use the Corona/Corona Light logo in the middle if we cannot use the newest logo associated with Buffett. Motion passed 7-0
  6. Motion by Ron, second by Ladd to have Gina get the leis and beads for this event and to spend up to $60. Motion passed 7-0
Set the next business meeting for Thursday, January 4th at the Lux Club at 6:30pm.
