Meeting Minutes – March 22, 2007

New Business

  1. Mark talked about what he could do to help our club and in turn we can help him. He does have some funds available to purchase Corona merchandise for give-a-ways.
  2. Mark would be willing to purchase any reserved seating that we have for the Buffett concert and in turn do a promo.
  3. March 30th is the opening of the Yard Arm.
  4. Discussed doing a big promo weekend July 6 & 7 at the Yard Arm for our 1st year anniversary. The Cedar Island Band is playing at the Yard Arm on the 7th. We could invite in other clubs from around the area.
  5. Discussed doing a promo with the Yard Arm on July 7th. Discussed the idea of a shirt/hat promo.
  6. Discussed the idea of getting the American Lady on July 6th for a Buffett River Cruise with Buffett tunes.
  7. Discussed possibly doing a “pizza cruise” on the Spirit of Dubuque on July 7th and having it drop passengers off at the Yard Arm for “partying with a purpose” and then getting shuttles to take people back to their hotels.
  8. Money for tickets are due to our Treasurer by April 5th.
  9. Upcoming events:
    • Madison. If this can be arranged, leaving on April 14th and coming back on the 15th. Please let Ron know by April 2nd or 3rd.
    • Family bowling. Saturday May 5th at 3:00pm at Bowling and Beyond. If interested, please make sure that you contact Laura Schauer about this fun family event.
    • Grand Pet Excursion. June 10th
    • 1st year anniversary. July 6 & 7
    • Jammin Below the Dam. June 22nd in Bellevue. The Cedar Island Band is playing. Several in the club are planning on going down for this and then camping/boating for the entire weekend at Spruce Creek on the Mississippi. If you are interested in camping, contact Bob Noel or Ron Markus and they will give you the information on getting a campsite.
    • Music in the Meadows. August 3rd at the Meadows golf course.
    • Discussed what we need to get done for our taxes. Secretary/Treasurer is taking care of this. Taxes will be completed by the April 15th deadline.
