Meeting called to order at 7:08pm.

Old Business

501c3 Janet has her part done and has passed it to Ron. Ron is pleased with the progress. We are right on track where we want to be. Good job, Janet!!
Parrothead Points - October events... Rover on the River, Des Moines Event, Breakfast at Albrecht Acre s, Pet O'ween at Theisens, Bark and Howl.

New Business

Newsletter. Is there a need, desire to produce one? How often? Randy volunteered to do the lay out for a newsletter but needs stories and columns too be submitted to him.
Cindy and Jody will take the lead on putting pictures up on a web page that won't tax the bandwidth of our current web page. Suggestion- Have we tried to get sponsors for the web site in exchange for a small banner ad?
Ladd - Can you get the mug shots on the web site? Members- if you do not like your picture, contact Ladd and send him a picture you approve of.
Rover on the River - 30 spots left, 20 reserved for walk-ins, 70 reserved to date. Items to auction off- Corona Tent, Corona Palm tree, Corona corn hole game, (Randy-"What's a corn hole game?")
November Social - November 8th Dubuque Driving Range Hwy 52 N, 3pm. Start there, we may have transportation to maneuver around to other places.
Al Ronek (Pirate Over 50) is playing at Carlos O'Kelley's on November 15th.
November 20 - Business meeting- Davinci's.
OPH 2009 - When to have it? Brief discussion and a motion was made by Ron to move the event. Kim seconded. 11 members in favor , one oppose. Motion passes. Decision to hold the event in late April or early May. (When is Cinco de Mayo?) Motion by Cindy to hold the event on May 2 2009. Seconded by Janet. All in favor/ no oppose. Motion passes pending venue availability. Ron would like to have someone chair the event. Randy and Al will co-chair.
Roxanne presented the club with a check for $2,000 to be used for OPH 2009. Discussion on possible venues to be used. Holiday Inn/ Five Flags, Diamond Joe, Courtside, GRC, Dubuque Inn. Committee formed to look at options, Ron, Laura, Kim, Al, Randy, Von, Janet. Also discussed entertainment.
PHiP scholarship information is listed on the PHiP website and Members only section of the Phlockers. Available to college-bound students of PHIP club members.

Treasurer Report

Bought a cash box - $25
Will have $100 seed money for Rover on the River.

Still getting t-shirt order, suggest setting a deadline for submitting orders.
Tasked with finding unique items for the Phlocker mart.
Ron made a motion to allow Randy to spend up to $400 to restock the items for OPH 2009. Bling items, leis, etc. Kim seconded, motion passes.
