Meeting called to order at 6:40 pm

Old Business

Mike Bradley conducted the meeting, Ron was not able to attend the meeting.

  1. Camp Albrecht Acres event - Sept 19, so far there are 56 reservations for the boat. Cut off is at 100.
  2. Ron, Mike Bradley and Von will be doing a radio interview on 107.5 Monday at 7:30 a.m. 8/24/09.
  3. Jody contacted area banks to inquire about using their marquees for advertising the event. She is waiting for replies.
  4. Silent Auction items - Landshark Surfboard, Pots and pans, 2 painted signs, landshark bucket, Barb and Ron donation. Anyone have anything to donate, please contact Ron or Mike right away.
  5. Club donated a Landshark bucket and items to the Laura Sexton benefit for the Isle of Iowa Parrothead Club.

New Business

  1. Key West Trip - July 2 - July 12, 2010. Members of the Dubuque Phlockers are organizing a trip to Key West FL next summer. Some are riding motorcycles, some are flying, some are driving. If you are interested in going, contact Christy Kies and she will get you the details of the trip so far (Planes, cars, bikes and campers).
  2. Bob Noel made a motion that should 13 or more members of the club go on the Kew West trip, Ron Markus HAS to wear a pink bra while driving the motorcycle in Kew West. Von seconded, motion passed!

Meeting adjourned at 7 pm. It was noted to be the shortest meeting on record. Way to go Mike!!!

Amendment

In an impromptu Director's meeting during the September social at the Ronek residence, Ron made a motion that Bob donate (to charity) $5 for every mile (up to $250 per hour) the pink bra is worn. The motion was seconded by Ladd, motion passed 6-0. Ron wanted to thank Bob for his generosity.
