Meeting Minutes – October 15, 2009

Meeting called to order at 6:35 p.m.

Old Business

  1. Final numbers for Albrecht Acres - The total amount raised for Albrecht Acres on September 19 was $2024. Great job, everyone! Kim Maiers made a motion to round the total amount to $2000 to give to Albrecht Acres. Jody Bradley seconded, Motion passes.
  2. Check presentation to Albrecht Acres will take place on October 27, 12:00 p.m. at Premier Bank on JFK. Anyone is invited to join Ron at Premier to present the check.
  3. T-shirts with a "new logo" for going to concerts is still under construction. Kim's friend is working on a design.

New Business

  1. November 12 has been set as the date to meet to discuss restructuring the board terms, positions and duties. The meeting will be at Spirits Bar and Grill and will begin at 6:30 pm.
  2. Discussion on choosing a charity for OPH 2010. Maria House, Albrecht Acres, and Riverview Crisis Center were discussed. Attendees with contacts at these places will gather information to be presented and discussed at a later meeting.
  3. Christmas Party was discussed. A "Party Without a Purpose" - for the members to cut loose and have some fun. Date was picked to be January 9th with a Mardi Gras Kick-Off theme. Place and time to be determined yet. Social Directors will scout out places and recommend one.
  4. Volunteer Opportunities
    • October 25th - Waffle Breakfast at Albrecht Acres, 2 shifts are set up, still have room in the early shift 7 a.m. - 11 a.m.
    • October 25th - Pet O'Ween at Theisens, 3-4 people to be judges.
    • Bell Ringing for the Salvation Army, date to be determined.
  5. November Social - 6:30 p.m. at Jumpers
  6. December Social - TBD (Julien?)

Randy Forsyth motioned to adjourn, Kim Maiers seconded. Meeting adjourned at 7:35 p.m.
