Meeting Minutes – November 19, 2009

Spirits Bar and Grill

Meeting called to order at 6:35 p.m.

Old Business

  1. Jessica Oberbroeckling gave a presentation for the Maria House. The club will keep the Maria House in mind for a future fund raising event.
  2. Review and discussion of proposed changes for BOD positions and duties. Duties were reassigned accordingly. Kim Maiers made a motion to accept the proposed changes, Mike Bradley seconded, all were in favor, none opposed.
  3. A new BOD position has been created called Outreach Director, this position's main focus will be organizing OPH. Jody Bradley was nominated and accepted into this position.
  4. Jessica Oberbroeckling was appointed OPH chair.
  5. Length of board terms was discussed. Proposed to amend the current length of a term from 2 years to 1 year. The term limit needs to be amended to state 4 years. Motion by Kim Maiers to accept changes, Mike Bradley seconded, all were in favor, none opposed.
  6. Duty changes to take effect December 1, 2009, term changes take effect with next election in 2010.
  7. Discussion and vote on OPH charity. Suggestions were Albrecht Acres, Maria House, Camp Courageous, Riverveiw Crisis Center. Erin Bradley made a motion for the funds raised in OH 2010 to be given to Albrect Acres, Mike Bigelow seconded, all were in favor, none opposed.

New Business

  1. Ron suggested the club look into purchasing a laminator, he had some prices on a couple models for examples. Jessica Oberbroeckling will check at Staples on Nov 27.
  2. December Social to be held at the Julien Hotel on Main St. A short business meeting will be held before the social. Double parrot points will be awarded.
  3. Discussion was held on usage of member email list. General agreement by everyone that the list should be used for club business only.
