Meeting called to order at 6:30 pm

Old Business

  1. The club received a warm, heart-felt thank you letter from Camp Albrecht Acres for the results of OPH. Ron read the letter to the meeting attendees and thanked all who contributed to the event.
  2. Reminder that the Taste of Dubuque is August 7th at the Port of Dubuque area. A group of members volunteered to serve beer from 6-8pm. If anyone is interested in joining them, please contact Christy Kies as soon as possible.

New Business

  1. Club elections - elections were held for the 2010-2011 term year. e-Ballot results were combined with ballots cast at the business meeting. Congratulations to the incoming board members whose 1-year term begins on August 1, 2010:

  2. A brief discussion on the direction of OPH for next year. Ron Markus made a motion to continue with the annual fundraiser, Ladd Nelson seconded, all in favor, one opposed. Motion passed. President -elect Ladd Nelson suggested for everyone to think of some ideas and suggestions on venues, and music and changing the date of the event and discussions will begin immediately at future business meetings.
  3. The August Social is scheduled for August 5th at Buffalo Wild Wings at 6:30pm. Kim Maiers will contact.
  4. The club received a check from the Galena Triathlon for $190 for the hours our club members worked during the Triathlon. Thank you to Jan Troy, Barb and Ron Markus, Christy and Dick Kies, Jody and Mike Bradley, Pat Willis, Janet Bries, her daughter Ariel and her friend who stepped in as a replacement.

Motion by Ladd Nelson to adjourn. Jamie Smith seconded. Meeting was adjourned at 8:12pm.
